I have learned, or I have sometimes learned, or I would like to learn to ask for a take-out container at the start of a meal bigger than my actual head. If I pack up tomorrow’s lunch up front, I’ll eat the right amount tonight and have a great lunch tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ll just keep eating until it’s all gone and I’m all sorry.
There was an interesting article in AARP this month about people and a buffet. If told they are to eat a meal, they eat a lot more than if told the buffet is a snack. However, the folks to ate a “snack” then would go and have a full meal in addition, so the lesson learned it make a buffet a meal and in the end, you’ll eat less.
