We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance. – Harrison Ford

“I used to cry and now I just take notes”
I have learned and practiced a very valuable new skill recently. I can listen to a long list of professional and personal (sometimes the line is blurry) criticism. And I can just listen.
I Go 4 Taiko
Today I learned Taiko drumming from a fabulous teacher with my fabulous drumming friends. The night before: Taiko rhythms on our African drums. But this day was the real thing – whole body whole arms. What fun!
I [heart] Drumming!
I love to drum!! It’s a lesson that I keep learning over and over again. I love my fabulous teachers and my WSS drumming peeps. I love the rhythm and the groove we get into. I love the whole experience!
Like Water on Gremlins
I have learned that, for me, creativity breeds even more creativity. Put me in a relaxed and creative right-brain situation and the ideas of who-knows-how-long come pouring in. Get me some more of that! Please!
RTF
Kat (who is so sweet) taught me how to put documents (including Lava’s novel!) on my new Sony reader (thanks again, Wes!). Includes: save the file as Rich Text File and change document properties to correctly display author and title. It works great!
Books Make Me Rich
I have learned, over and over, that having a stack of great books to read makes me feel like a millionaire! And this time I have some that were given to me by a real editor! In my very own family! I am RICH, I tell you!
Thanks For…
Everything! I am learning that many of my lessons are about Gratitude. So much so, that I am making a new category for it. I don’t know if I’ll get to backtracking and categorizing, but going forward I’ll use the new category. I don’t even know what you do with categories, but you can be sure that I’ll share it when I learn it!
