I seem to always thing that I will have more time, another time, to buy the next set of bus tickets than right now. But it’s never actually true. Now is better.

Ask the Universe First!
From Sal with my full endorsement and participation:
Sending positive vibes into the universe can yield physical results. This weekend’s proof: a footstool, and ipod, and a cell phone that all found their rightful owners just by sending out good vibes and asking the right people
Here, I Did the Math
It takes 5 seconds to hang up a multi-strand necklace, but up to 10 minutes to untangle it later if it’s not hung up.
Never Fall Behind
I have learned that it is overwhelming to be this far behind in my Lessons Learned blog. I have no idea how I am going to catch up Send me email with YOUR lessons learned so I can learn from them and dig out of this hole! Please!
Legibly!
And while I’m at it, I have learned that if I don’t write these lessons down in a way that I can read them later, they are still lost to me!

Write it!
I hope I have learned, or I am trying to learn, or I want to learn… to write stuff down! I have learned and forgotten lessons over and over. I am going to try to keep paper around so that I can just jot them down as then happen.
When Clicking Is Not Enough
I have learned, again and again, that buying and then owning books on valuable topics doesn’t actually do anything for me unless I actually read them, too.
Keep Up Already!
Tonight I am catching up on 29 entries to get this blog back to current. What happened here??? I have no excuses. It would be much easier to just keep up! I know I have learned this at least two other times in this half year. Will this be the lesson that sticks? We’ll see!
Tax Day Cometh
Ok, I thought I learned the lesson: Do the taxes early. And I did. All done, check sent, check received, check!
But the bigger lesson is to get the OTHER taxes done early, too. So that includes my mother-in-law’s taxes and those of any beloved family members who need my help and may end up against the deadline.
Now: All done!
It seems to be less awful when done early. Will try to remember for next year.
Catch It Early – Health edition
I may have finally learned how to start taking it easy at the start of a cold! Ususally I push through, as a form of denial and some deeply embedded (and somewhat surprising) work ethic. This time I did the right thing, which meant trading a few days worth of 5-6 hours commuting for more sleep and actually getting more done at work from my home office. The world did not end. I got better quickly. Who knew?
