Today I learned Taiko drumming from a fabulous teacher with my fabulous drumming friends. The night before: Taiko rhythms on our African drums. But this day was the real thing – whole body whole arms. What fun!

I [heart] Drumming!
I love to drum!! It’s a lesson that I keep learning over and over again. I love my fabulous teachers and my WSS drumming peeps. I love the rhythm and the groove we get into. I love the whole experience!
Like Water on Gremlins
I have learned that, for me, creativity breeds even more creativity. Put me in a relaxed and creative right-brain situation and the ideas of who-knows-how-long come pouring in. Get me some more of that! Please!

I learned that I can move videos from my iPod back and forth as files and I don’t need to (can’t!) go through iTunes to do it.
Virtual Shopping Meets Reality
From Sal:
“My friend Laura taught me that when shopping, it’s fun to put everything you want in your cart and then totally reevaluate when you get to the register. You get all the fun of shopping, but you only end up with the things you really can’t live without. If you go back and the same thing ends up in your cart again and again, maybe it’s time to buy it. If you get to the register and notice that you’re already going over budget, just give that item back to any employee… you’ll hardly ever regret it! We saved ourselves from spending over $100 at Ikea last night!”
Trivia or Lifesaving Information?
I just found out that the Tremont / Boylston intersection walk lights are not always “all walk” (I think of Kat and her board games and I think “All Play”) as I had assumed! So this means that you can not necessarily safely cross on the diagonal, as I would want to do, just because one corner has the white-walky-guy of “go!”
This explains so much!
Gale got this from Wendy who got it from a friend:
“With time, women gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren’t heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy.”
Copycat Wannabe
I have learned again, the easy way this particular time, to back up my most important files! I spent hours on something but knew I could back it up later because I had a copy in email anyway. Not! I had two copies of one thing and none of the other. This time, I skated through – I found out in time to get it backed up.
