I just found out that the Tremont / Boylston intersection walk lights are not always “all walk” (I think of Kat and her board games and I think “All Play”) as I had assumed! So this means that you can not necessarily safely cross on the diagonal, as I would want to do, just because one corner has the white-walky-guy of “go!”

Copycat Wannabe
I have learned again, the easy way this particular time, to back up my most important files! I spent hours on something but knew I could back it up later because I had a copy in email anyway. Not! I had two copies of one thing and none of the other. This time, I skated through – I found out in time to get it backed up.
Stuck On You
From Sal:
“When using superglue, keep nail polish remover handy to get it off your fingers. If you don’t have that, at least google a removal plan before you have sticky finger”

I guess I’ve been having some great days!

4 Everything works better if the handlebars are pointed forward and not backwards.
How Not to be Numb
Steve learned that good biking gloves relieve pressure on a specific nerve in the hands and keep his hands from falling asleep and going numb on long rides. Score!
Happy Birthday to Me
I have learned, over and over and over again, that I am lucky beyond words to have the incredible family and friends I have in my life. I am really and truly rich!
“Well, I hope the rest of your day goes better”
What a great phrase. Barbara says it only works if it’s delivered calmly and with complete sincerity. Try it.
Get Off One Stop Before I Do
Today I learned, but did not heed, the lesson that you can often get somewhere faster by foot than in a cab. Riding around the last block to get to South Station is much longer than just jumping out (pay first please) when it’s in sight and then hoofing it. This time it worked out, but barely,
Stock Up
I seem to always thing that I will have more time, another time, to buy the next set of bus tickets than right now. But it’s never actually true. Now is better.
