[Drive-up] Window of Opportunity

The time to check your order is when you are at the window.  Once you drive away, you may be stuck with sugar (yuk!)  in your non-fat iced latte and there is nothing you can do about it except get back in line and who’s going to do that?

So take a minute and do the quaility check in that one and only window of opportunity.

Flame On

I have learned that one should NEVER use a dishtowel as a potholder!  It can touch the over burner element and catch on fire!  As in big orange flames!  And then one has to throw it in the sink and drown it with the faucet!  And it’s really scary!

This is related to my dad’s instruction to “always use the right tool for the job”.

Learn from this!

Too close for comfort

I learned that if you have a wireless router within 3 feet of a cable modem phone, you can get interence that you don’t hear but the other people hear.  Very unprofessional.

And I have learned that Comcast can reset the phone circuit to stop calls from dropping – three in one day!  VERY unprofessional.

And I have learned that letting the phone company run phones is probably a good idea and I will probably go back to Verizon.

… and everything in its place

The part about “a place for everything” is easy.  It’s the other part that’s still a lesson for me. Put it back!  The cover for the back of the car – put it back!  The wallet that goes in the purse – put it back!  The mp3 player that goes in the same purse – put it back!  Otherwise, it’s just NOT gonna be there when you need it!
