Is this a cool idea or what? A new business colleague of mine ALWAYS wears a wild Hawiian shirt on the way home from business trips. The whole team changed into play clothes for the journey but this guy does it up. They say this way they can find him in the airport, but I think it’s a great way to say “off duty!”
One of my campaign colleagues always wears business attire on flights, even if it’s totally unnecessary. He says that he finds that all other things being equal, people treat a young man in a suit a million times better than one in a t-shirt and jeans, and it has helped him get bumped up to first class a handful of times.
and multiply that by 10 if you are traveling internationally – security & customs & passport control folks treat business people differently.
it also may help you avoid conversation with the chatty lady in the next seat (she knows who she is 🙂
OK i’ll be the voice of reason. It sounds a bit nerdy, y/y?
PS Mom – y/y is internet slang for yes/yes, as a spoof of y/n (yes/no), when the answer can ONLY be yes. There’s something you learned!!
